Buck,

Consider this as a possible explaination:

1. You buy a car from Ford or GM yet you don't hear a lot about the companies\sub contractors that make many of the parts that contribute to the vehicle. Basically, we know it as a GM or Ford product.

INTC makes microprocessors and they use steppers scanners and many other components along the way. Yet they don't go out of their way to advertise their own suppliers. What they do do is help defray the cost of advertising for DELL CPQ and others that include the INTEL inside logo and the bell sound that is associated with INTC products. They make money buy assisting their customer's while simultaneously increasing the brand recognition of INTEL.

NEC MORPHO and the rest are not in business to promote or increase the brand recognition of IDX. Yes, they want reliable components (IDX components in many cases) that they can package and provide solutions to their customers. But this does not mean that NEC or anyother firm will necessarily have a lot or even anything on their web site about IDX.

As for AFIS: IDXs products are fully compliant meaning that they meet or exceed all requirements for AFIS and they have been certified by the FBI.
