For those of us wanting to understand more of the technical issues with Ascend's products, their own writeups are pretty good to explain the appropriate uses of each:

I also believe Asnd has too many xDSL solutions. It will confuse the customer. For a few buck more, most customers will go with ADSL. Asnd is wasting a lot of money on duplications, IMO.

Emile... can you explain the differences between CAP and DMT?
