Looks like that 'flap'was a topic on The View---er,,rr, I mean the left of center thread. This post indicates that John Edwards basically used it for campaign contributions: Message 23659703 Ya gotta love the brilliant responses from the centrists. My reaction was that John was a cad for hiding behind the skirts of his cancer stricken wife. What a clod to have her make that phone call. It's like sending your kid brother who is in a wheelchair to a fight instead of standing up yourself. It's also cowardly because Coulter was set up to be a bully if she even dared to push back at the poor little Ms. Edwards. While the clucking hens over there recognize Coulter's profit motive, the slickster John's profit motive goes right over their collective heads. He's laughing all the way to the bank after having manipulated the dumb faithful. Had I been Coulter, I would have told her that I had no interest in engaging her and that if her husband had something to say, hand him the phone.
