1. isdn is great, if you don't mind the hoops of the phone company to have it installed, and you purchase compatible equipment with your isp, but watch out if you switch isp's. 2. great if your company also offers isdn for dial in, if not you have a line just for the internet. i would rather use the extra money to buy a premium channel on cable. 3. you can use that pots line for internet, dial into a company or bbs, or just a regular phone call, fax line, ..... bottom line to many people do not want to deal with the technology and the hassle of a limited line.
