Greg- Acquiree usually sell at a discount of 6% to deal value.

Keeping it simple - Just take WSTL stock price and multiply by .9 = $X X represents what Amati shares are worth at this moment.

Worth and stock price don't coincide this far away from the deal closure. The gap closes as things progress. Smart money betting deal will go through are selling Westell and buying Amati, BUT NOT if you have to pay a big capital gains.
