Problem has never been those stated principles, but rather the lack of them among certain of the principals ... and too, there is this obsession with 'God' shedding and mending and refining etc, it's like they can't find anybody else to take the blame ... as for all the scenery references, well there have been other points of view on that -

I think that I shall never see
a billboard lovely as a tree.
Indeed, unless the billboards fall,
I shall not see a tree at all.
