i believe you are confusing network+interop show with the stock price. this is a normal time to unveil new products, because the trade rags will write this stuff up. this has nothing to do with cushioning numbers, this is just the business plan to introduce new stuff at this show. many networking people begin to plan for the future by checking out the products at the show.
