As a person who's gotten in a spot of trouble in Mexico, I found the system of on-the-spot bribery to be very effective and convenient. Not to mention orders of magnitude cheaper than our system.

I've also gotten in a spot of trouble here. Here, the system requires that you pay a small fortune to sharp lawyers to achieve the same result you achieve in Mexico with a small bribe to the cop that nailed you.
