In 1987, before September (that is Jan to Aug) did you used to buy puts? And if yes, was it worthwhile, overall? Or, if/also if you've shorted, could you overall stay short till September? I assume that back then you stock/industry - picking skills were about as good as now. Also, do you know about some other people's experience (along these lines) at that time? Thanks for your time, this really interests me.
