The decrease in competition will overwhelm any pocket increases. One other thing... even tough the playing field will flatten in retail, retail gross margins should go up. So although Walmart may lose sales to a Mom and Pop store, as well as Department stores, their gross margins will be pretty much fixed (on these products) and should go up.

Bottom line is it's a gift to business at the expense of consumers.
