I get uncomfortable in crowds, myself. Brief elevator rides don't phase me and I haven't been on a long elevator ride in years, so I don't know how I'd do there. I also really dislike cigarette and heavy perfume odors. I can smell a cigarette many times coming from a car driving ahead of me. As an ex-smoker, I am especially sensitive to that smell.
