<<< Our Attack That Killed Afghan Kids Deliberately: US Military Officials

Posted by Steve Crickmore

Just over a week ago, we at 'Wizbangblue' talked about a horror story in which the US bombed a "compound" in Paktika province, Afghanistan, where it was claimed "nefarious activity" was ocurring. [sic] Seven children died in the bombing raid. Sgt. Dean Welch cautioned: "If we knew that there were children inside the building, there was no way that an air strike would have occurred."

Now the truth has come out..The military has confessed. They knew that there were children in the school, but as they suspected `nefarious activity` in the shape of a Al Qaeda leader could be lurking there, they decided to bomb the compound (not `no way` but) anyway. >>>

Now we're "Deliberately" killing children. What a horrible people we are...

But, as usual, reading is fundamental. The post is based on a 2 day old story from MSNBC. I'll clip the important part, basically in its entirety.

<<< According to several officials, and contrary to previous statements, the U.S. military knew there were children at the compound but considered Abu Laith of such high value it was worth the risk of potential collateral damage. >>>

So - just by reading - we go from the U.S. military "confessing" that we knew children where actually in the school and we killed them "deliberately" to an anonymous claim we knew kids where somewhere in the compound. (but not in the school) -- Reading; it's so fundamental.

And we all know how reliable anonymous sources can be. Like the ones who gave the NY Times the disappearing explosives story days before the election. And don't get me started on Dan Rather...

But there is more.

This MSNBC "confession" story ran two days ago... Certainly the rest of the media must be giving it wall to wall coverage right???? Not so much. Not a single other news story could be found with this claim in it.

So Steve Crickmore picked up a 2 day old story that was completely unsubstantiated, he completely misrepresented what it said, all so he could claim the U.S. military was "deliberately" killing children.

Kevin do you think we can get some lefty bloggers who don't hate America and/or aren't crazy?
