The democrats feel everyone blamed democrats for 9/11. Bush went along with Kennedy's education bill only to be blamed for it. The democrats are portraying the current immigration bill loss as being all Bush's disaster. The democrats are weakening our defenses hoping they can use the next terrorist attack against the republicans. Yes, I believe some democrat and republican politicians are that power hungry.
