Much has been made of the (probable) desire of companies to keep quiet regarding any Y2K problems found in their shops (because of the potential negative impact on earnings). However, I would think the investment community will look favorably on any company taking a proactive approach towards assessing and fixing any potential problems. In particular, I believe we will eventually start seeing companies announcing (even bragging) publically that they have found and fixed some minor problems and are poised to roll into the new millenium without incident. <JMHO>
