I do see that he is against the Iraq war, and against most everything GWB and his Administration have done.

What does that have to do with anything?

The point of the my posting was the Gibson quote, which I provided in context. Unless the article author intentionally misquoted Gibson due to BDS, then his political bent is irrelevant. Trying to deflect the question by challenging the messenger won't work with me.

I can't prove that he actually said that. I find no transcript. But there is a lot of chatter about it out there and no denial. If he didn't say it, there would be denials.

Just before I turned the computer on this morning I was watching the WSJ Report on Fox. Unfortunately, the transcript has not yet been published. They spoke about how talk radio defeated the immigration bill by hyped and ugly populist rhetoric appealing to the the least common denominator. (They also discussed the fairness doctrine. I thought the entire show was quite fair and quite good.) The Beltway Boys, which followed, addressed the same point. Now, you may have become so inured to the populist least common denominator that you reject the perspectives of even the WSJ reporters and Fox News just as you reject mine...
