Do you dispute that Congress has a lower approval rating with the public than the President?

I do dispute that. The Fox poll i cited had Bush at 31% and the Democrats in congress at 36%. The latest CBS poll has congress and Bush tied at 27%.

Also, i think it's pretty natural for the President (any President) to be more popular than the congress (any congress) in American politics. So the fact that the President is down there with the congress is more bad news for the President than it is for congress.

And again, my main point is that the status quo favors the Democrats right now...
