C2 there are some things we can conclude:
Islamic Jihad talk is not serious in nearly everyone. Sure, 20% of British Moslems like to see infidels blown up and were gung ho for the bus and train bombs.
Religious people by their very nature, ipso facto, are followers, NOT leaders. They believe what they are told to believe. They do what they are told to do. They think what they are told to think. That's IF the boss is around to scare them into action and lead the charge.
Nearly all of them are sheeple who are fleeced by their shepherds and prefer to stay in the herd. Some of the young males go off their nuts as young males everywhere are prone to do, and have a go at conflagration.
So although there are legions of them, they don't really have their heart set on Jihad. They are busy trying to get a girl-friend. They talk about Jihad, but it's more of a fig leaf than true belief.
The vandals in England are Pakistani and there is a long antipathy to "Pakis" in England. They are NOT Arabs. While they purportedly have the same ideology, they have different cultural norms, so we aren't seeing the Arab-style Islamic Jihad.
I think they are racial attacks, of a cultural revenge nature, rather than ideological attacks, though the young guys probably think it's ideological.
The British Empire had India [which included Pakistan] as part of it for centuries. Contrary to popular myth, the British were not evil-doing genocidal empire builders. They were mercantile bringing Christianity and freedom as well as British Subject status which meant everyone in the Empire was British.
So, Pakistanis, once travel became possible, started moving to Britain in droves, as did others from around the Empire, which rapidly fell apart after WWI and WWII and the gates to Britain were banged shut when it became obvious that a disaster was building. See Enoch Powell's comments from the 1960s.
Religious cranks are dangerous at the best of times. Look at the IRA for example. They seek political power to force their ideology on everyone. Moslems are the same. They aren't Buddhists!! It's hilarious that Islam is called the religion of peace.
When the news in the world is Paris Hilton drink driving and performing and some klutzy Pakistanis setting fire to vehicles with LPG and petrol, the world is a very good place.
In the good old days, there were famines with millions dying. There were wars with millions of Germans rolling over neighbours with Panzers. There were earthquakes destroying whole cities. The Great Depression economic collapse ruined millions. The Blitz was a nightly mass bombing. Hiroshima and Nagasaki disappeared. Guy Fawkes nearly got the whole of parliament.
Now we have some young guys burning one car and a bit of building. What a great time we are obviously living in.
The media keep trying to talk it up as EXPLOSIONS. The young ones seem to have spent too much time watching cars exploding in movies and don't know how combustion works. The idiot vandals must have thought they just needed some LPG tanks in the fire and the explosions would wreck a LOT. Of course they merely start leaking, probably from the pressure relief valve hole, and the gas squirts out in a stream of flame.
That's what the flame looked like at Glasgow.
Meanwhile, the stupid authorities inconvenience vast numbers of people and cause huge economic loss because some dopey young men caused a small fire. Pathetic. The authorities are guilty of far more than the actual terrorists. They are using the trivial attacks as an excuse to build their own position.
