To Correct The Misinformation

1. Kimberlites errupted over 60 million years ago. Any errupted rock will have been radically erroded since then by mechanical forces.

2. Eclogitic and peridotitic rock (the host for diamonds) carried as clasts or nodules in kimberlite is typically rounded due to partial reabsorbtion not angular.

3. The kimberlite itself is very soft and most certainly will be rounded by errosion and glacial forces, but,

4. Any angular or rough rock more than likely is the result of freez-thaw action and the resulting fracturing and spliting of boulders.

Therefore, rough or angular rock is not likely indicative of being close to source but rather exposed to climactic forces. Boulders of kimberlite regardless of shape, whether rough or rounded, are indicative of being relatively close to source. If errupted from the original volcanoes 60 million years ago, they would have been long since erroded, rather, they are more than likely scoured by glaciers in the last ice age 10,000 years ago and have been slowly degrading since.

These are well know and understood geologic facts not personal opinion.
