That's where you and I differ. I believe the government CAN do a better job than corporations that want to deny me care to fatten their bottom lines.

Both Medicare (prior to the drug benefit) and SS are examples of well run government programs that deliver needed services efficiently. No one's ever accused either of those programs of being fraud ridden or pork ranches.

Government DOES have a lot of waste, fraud and abuse, and it needs to be fought against constantly. Right now, the lion's share of it is in our Defense and Homeland Security Dept's - but I don't hear any cry from the right to go after THEM.
