That concept sickens me. It's like setting out to make money off an outbreak of the Plague.

To quote someone here; apples and oranges. In the case of the plague you would be making money on someone's misery. In the case of alternate energy, you would be making money at the same time as making life better. What is miserable about global warming? Everyone now admits there is global warming so the only issue left to debate is whether or rather how much of that global warming is caused by man.

If investing in alternate energy sources that help decrease our dependence on wacky unstable countries - at the same time we target global warming, what is wrong with that? If creating new technology that produce less polluting energy sources also has as a side benefit cleaner air that doesn't cause so much allergies/asthma in children, what is wrong with that? Conservatives of all people should gladly and openly embrace business opportunities that make life better. Maybe the hate for Gore clouds the thinking?
