I must admit that I am impressed, you have a talent for making negative and inaccurate comments about competitors seem objective and common knowledge. Iridium's plan for 77 satellites was made at the very beginning. As the original developers of this idea Motorola was able to quickly improve upon it and accomplish the same thing with less satellites and therefore lower cost.
Your math in your post is not quite clear, you seem to say 2 launches from Zenit at 12 satellites each and then refer to it as 36 total?
As I understand it Globalstar will go into service in late 1998, but not have their entire constellation up until early 1999.
