Do you think they are conservative, unbiased, or are you suggesting that in order for something to qualify as 'liberal' it must fail the test of being factual?

I disagree. There is nothing which prohibits liberal opinion from being based on fact.

It is quite possible and common for both liberal and conservative view points to be based on fact, exaggerate facts, selectively employ facts, or deliberately misconstrue facts in a presentation. It is not necessary to mislead the public with a grain of truth mixed with deceit for political gain but that is occasionally done as well by unscrupulous partisans.
