Not generally known for intellectual curiosity, Bush is seeking out those who are, engaging in a philosophical exploration of the currents of history that have swept up his administration

WTF is this phrasing supposed to mean? "Bush is so well known for being stupid and uncurious and even if he looks, acts and sounds intellectually curious, it doesn't count. Only those around him can actually BE intellectually curious, he is just play-acting at it."

I swear, an entire class of reporters has unthinkingly swallowed the idea that conservatives must either be stupid (Bush) or evil (Cheney) or both (Rumsfeld). It's not possible that intelligent people can be anything but liberal. Talk about arrogance.
