Hilary apparently does not understand that AIDS is a disease of all races and genders. It is now worldwide with even China having some who have AIDS but a fact they prefer not to discuss.

Next to cancer I know of no other disease that has received so much attention in the USA. The pharmaceutical companies, NIH, and researchers have been hard at work to combat the disease for the better part of 30 years. And, investors have opened their pocketbooks to supporting their research.

After the first cases of AIDS were discovered in the USA, people undergoing surgery were at risk for developing AIDS from blood transfusions-------that has changed----otherwise we would all be at risk everytime we have surgery and require blood.

Like you I found Hilary's remark an insult to women and divisive. The facts are "we the people" have poured substantial amount of dollars into research, diagnosing and treating AIDS patients.

What Hilary will likely propose is increased government funding for AIDS---------including the providing of treatment for those affected in Africa and other nations.
