The U.S. earns a high place in Life Satisfaction by virtue of positive social values, including freedom of choice and religious faith.

Material Wealth:

The US is exceptionally successful in inducing citizens to turn their wealth into productive fixed capital, with a very attractive environment for business.
The US is actually relatively weakly integrated into the global economy, although this may be less of a constraint on growth due to high domestic levels of technological innovation.
