I do think Cheryl could write for a living though that isn't her direction. Even through the sorrow she manages a great humor and will say things in such a manner that one can smile through her tears. She draws one into the moment.

What I do appreciate so much is her progress. Not forgetting, but getting on. There was a time she wouldn't even consider rules or reworking rooms. She seemed too far lost inside herself.

I admire you Provider - and your family. You have come through an experience none of us would welcome. I agree with you about the forever part.

I imagine the getting past it is only a reworking of the sorrow, not forgetting Haley, but releasing some of the intensity of the sorrow, bringing her into the joy which can be experienced in this present life. At least with some of the things I've experienced indirectly and directly that has been the way of it for me.

I know this to be quite true for friends of ours who lost their son. They knew from the beginning he would not stay long and he managed four years before goodbyes were said. Every year it gets better for them, but every year around his date they experience the lack of his physical presence....they now have a total of six children here and the older ones remember their brother too.
