Fuel shortages at pipeline terminals continue

Fargo, NDJohn HoevenJul 3 2007 3:04PM

(From Don Haney, KFGO, Fargo) FARGO, N.D. (AP) The manager of a chain of gas stations in Fargo-Moorhead says he's never seen anything like it.

Kent Satrang (SAH'-trang) with Petro-Serve is talking about fuel shortages at pipeline terminals in the region.

He says both wholesalers and retailers are scrambling to get what gasoline they can.

Petroleum marketers say refinery slowdowns elsewhere in the region are forcing truckers to wait longer at pipeline terminals to get fuel. Governor Hoeven last week issued an executive order to waive the limit on how long drivers who are hauling fuel can be on the job.

Ron Sahr with Sahr's Sudden Service in Fargo says he's been getting gas "piecemeal." His advice to drivers "Fill up your gas tank." (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 07-03-07
