CLinton never pardoned anyone who committed treason, and no one in his own White House either. James Madison made it clear when establishing our Constitution that pardons could not be used to get a crooked presdient off the hook. Bush did something terribly illegal and unethical. He protected his own ass by pardoning someone who could have talked. Just like thge Mafia does. NO difference.

All presidents pardon questionable characters. The rightwing howl with outrage when Clinton pardoned Marc Rich. Libby was Rich's attorney at the time. Why dosn't that surprise me?

BTW: CLinton has apologized for pardoning Rich and has expressed deep regret for it. He admits it was a mistake. But Rich was guilty of tax evasion and is a Swiss citizen. Libby is guilty of much worse. Treason, oujting a CIA agent during war-time.
