Craig: You mention an interesting group of competitors.
CSCO is under attack from everyone in this industry. Attack is actually a little tame for what I see. Siege is probably a better word to use. Many of the smaller companies such as Sprint, Lucent, the Baby Bells, Alcatel, etc.. are partnering with the smaller companies such as FSCX to go after the business. This has been written about constantly for the past month in all of the major trade publications.
FSCX must partner with some of these companies and design the FRAD's specifically for their architecture. My understanding is that they have been doing this. Their partners then recommend the entire package of Frame Relay and FRAD as the total product.
Regarding the uniqueness of their products I would defer to those on the thread with a more technical base of knowledge. But I would point to some of the recent developments they have announced and ther chief engineer, who has thus far kept them in front of the competition.
