Scooter Libby was convicted of basically endangering someone's status as a covert agent. The public basically understands this as does the jury. This is close to if not actually endangering someones LIFE. This is not lying about sex, it is really offensive behavior and Bush pardoned him. If Mark Rich endangered somebodys life I am certain Clinton wouldn't have pardoned him. I know this subtle difference of a criminal offense involving putting someones life in danger vs some kind of fiscal crime or lying about sex evades many wingers, but there you are.
