You will note the time of my original post and this post. I point this out because, as someone said, maybe Datek is listening (or in my case...reading). I just received a call from Datek as a result of my post on SI, and they offered to express mail my check to be received tomorrow. While I think this is great, and I commend Datek and the customer service rep who called, I am still VERY interested in comments re the three day settlement. No mention of that was made by their customer service rep to me, and in my amazement at receiving the unsolicitated phone call, I neglected to ask. As I have had severe difficulty in getting anyone to respond to phone calls (long waits) and emails (several days to respond or no response at all), I wonder if my current situation is an abnormality or will turn out to be the norm for Datek's service in the future.

If indeed they have turned their customer service around and changed this 3 day situation, I for one will think twice before changing to another untested internet broker. FWIW

PS I'll let the thread know about the next day check.
