I noticed that the latest First Call rating for Atmel has changed.
In July, there were 9 analysts following the stock and it had a rating
of 1.5. Today I got a report and it says 10 analysts with a rating of
1.6. This may indicate that the 10th analyst thinks lower of Atmel's
prospects for future earnings. The earnings projections in First Call
have remained the same however. It's just very strange that Atmel
would slide nearly 9% in a day when the market was up so much.
