Craig,
1)They have the same PR firm.
2)Brocade being a private company can take a few extra liberties with their press releases in waxing eloquent.
3)Is it my bias or was Brocade a little light on details of the switch and heavy on how they were the best and brightest.
4)What did they really announce that was new FLP and pricing. Not very specific about their FC-AL except to say they have it and nothing on latency which ANCR made a big deal out of.
4A)Seems like ANCR has a much more versatile and loaded up switch for about the same price.No?
5)Brocade-Definately aggressive announcement and they see this as a war.Remember they are going public and when they do they certainly want to be out in front of ANCR.
6)Shipping in volume? Scary? Who knows-advantages of being private.
Certainly puts Brocade out front in the PR wars.A great press release by Brocade-Definately- Bullet proof-Doesn't look that way.
7) Well ANCR should be able to see the whites of Brocade's eyes at this point. It certainly would be timely to take a shot with one of
Icebergs Muskets or is it an AK-47.
