Just got done listening to CNBC interview with Cond Rice and Mar Bart. It was a nice exchange, and it would be in the best interests of the entire world if we heard alot more from Rice. She was articulate and entirely realistic. It was like a blessing out of the sky, now that Blair has left the political debates in England.
Anyways, I think there is an important distinction that people don't understand about the jihadi fundamentalists. In almost every country, including Pakistan, they are being finally being recognized as a threat to domestic security. Bottom line, Saudi Arabia got rid of Osama Bin Laden because he disagreed with the government and threatened to take control. We are seeing the same problem in Pakistan, where all the jihadi fundamentalists holed up in the Red Mosque. They are a threat to the conservative governments.
Sure, they are applying the principles of hatred and intolerance they have been taught in the Mosques or madrasses supported by the Islamic governments. However, they are quickly turning all of the principles of jihad against their own governments that trained them to hate non Muslims. Now, as well conditioned psychopaths and trained jihadis, they are no longer controlled by the Islamic govnerments that gave them instructions to hate Jews, Christians, and Muslim apostates. Now, they are shooting at their own governments and leaders.
If the Islamic governments are going to successfully maintain power, they can't keep training more killers. They can't let them exist, and they need to restrain all Muslims from acting against other human beings. They need to revoke the fatwas that encourage Muslims to fight against one another, or other groups outside of the law and military service. They need to coordinate support among all the tribal militias and pay them for national unity.
Bottom line, I would love to see Cond Rice be the first woman and first black to represent this country in 2008. She understands the reality of global relations and financial reality far more than any of the other candidates. |
