Good article.

My belief is that employment of illegals is very much changing the supply/demand situation and blunting wages. And my WAG is that it is skewing the unemployment rate numbers somehow.


I agree with CJ.......the people who most compete with illegals have given up looking for a job and have stopped receiving unemployment benefits. After all, 12 million illegals is not a small number and its probably an undercounting. And that's what's keeping wages down.

In a slowing economy, there has to be some explanation for rising corp. profits for industry that serves only the domestic market and that one makes the most sense.
