Water vapor IS a greenhouse gas, and more of one than CO2. What the wingnuts don't factor in when they bring that up is, mankind hasn't done much of anything to affect the amount of water vapor present in the atmosphere - it pretty much is what it is and has been.

CO2 on the other hand, we're pumping into the atmosphere constantly from our hundreds of millions of cars and numerous engines and powerplants constantly. We're warming the planet, and we need to control what we CAN.
