If the US had done as you say, we would NOT have won WWII, either with Japan, nor with Germany. The world today might be under control of either or both of those two countries, if we blabbed everything to the media, and gave those who vowed to kill us a roadmap to do so.
But Americans were different then. They were not PC, and were made of strong "stuff"....
Can anyone today really imagine themselves dealing with the hardships that the Greatest Generation dealt with? Rationing food, very very little gas, no rubber for tires, raise their own gardens, blackouts, no extra money for anything, especially after the Depression.... |
