This reminds me of something I've read in the book, Looming Tower, that won the latest non-fiction Pulitzer. After a particularly nasty attack by al-Jihad in Egypt(headed by Ayman Zawahiri, now #2 in al-Qaeda), one Egyptian journalist suggested that this wouldn't have happened if there was more interaction between males and females.
As it turned out, this analysis earned that particular journalist a knife in the gut that almost killed him. The old saying that the truth hurts has never been more apparent in IMO. <NG>
Of course, this is only one factor, but I can tell you with confidence that if in the section of town I live in, if the women suddenly disappeared, it would not be safe, despite the high level of education(okay, they are students, but not anyone anymore can slip into UT anymore).
You made an interesting point about China and that is why I have made a comment.
Are you interested in starting a mail order bride business sending females from here to China?
You do the financing, and I'll do the website optimization, and we'll split the female screening 50/50. Deal? ;)
