shiaa and kurds have the oil. Kurds are in the middle, negotiating with both. Shiaa will leave sunni kurds alone in kurdistan and alliance between sunni arabs and kurds which protect the turkmen calms turkey down while giving shiaa some of hope of secure 2/3 of the country, particularly if that 2/3 is out of their control. Kurdistan is out of shiaa control and they probably dont want to control sunnis. What you get is alot of ethnic movemnet asa in india/pakistn hopefully without most of the killing. Arab shiaa and sunnis may have not had great relations historically. Sunnis do look down their noses on shiaa but there is much intermarrage and nowhere near the kind of historical hatred that exists between orthodox serbs and catholic (once pro-nazi) croats. It is not impossible. I think US presence makes it harder to resolve. Am tired of americans dying needlessly.
