So I am correct, and leaders from the countries with socialized medicine are not coming here, but somehow socialized medicine is bad?

With Peter, he might be thinking that's proof that you can't pick your own doctor under socialized medicine. :o)

Peter also ignores the possibility that a world leader flying to Berlin or Paris for treatment isn't fit news for the US audience. It would never make it to print. Americans wouldn't want to hear that sh!t.

Nor can Peter recognize how irrelevant that particular statistic might be, sic, so what if a Prince from Saudi Arabia flies to the Mayo clinic. There are 45 million Americans without health insurance that wouldn't make it through the front door of the Mayo Clinic unless it was a photo opportunity for the Mayo Clinic.

This year my wife had an emergency stay at a local hospital. The health insurance paid all but a couple of hundred bucks. The insurance co. picked up around $15K.

Now suppose one of those households of the uninsured is confronted with the same circumstance. .... they're screwed no matter what decision they make.

What happens when the uninsured patient needs a hip replacement? Average cost of a hip replacement is $25K. We don't have any "lines" in the US. Which is good, because he can't even afford to get in a line. He's just going to have get himself a cane and some aspirin and live with it until he can't walk anymore.
