We can still help our current allies among the sunnis and our friends the Kurds. What we cannot do is to stop the ethnic civil strife and ethnic cleansing thats going on in areas both sunni and shiaa inhabit. Lets do what we can do and admit we cant intervene in the civil war portion of the fight. Also its time for this ridiculous iraqi govt to be replaced. I dont have a clue how they do that. Thats something else i dont want us to be involved with. What iraq needs is De Gaulle. I thought in the earlier part of the war that Alawi provided this possiblity but the current crop of shiaa leaders offer little.
