Tom,
A major slew of application upgrades is slated for the second half of 1998. ADBE will be relying on a continuation of sales momentum for the latest releases to sustain it's revenues over the next three quarters. That's why analysts were so sceptical on the conference call...
I forget the figures and percentages for Asian sales, but that market is going to be severely impacted with the currency turmoil over there. Japan is in a continuing recession, and the go-go growth in SE Asia is in trouble. These are not good trends for the near term business outlook. The big consumer push is on, but where is the product in stores? Shouldn't they have increased exposure in conjunction with the ad campaign?
The company could very well have a blowout quarter again... I just don't know, and am uncomfortable with the market conditions as I see them.

Good Luck,

Peter Shaw
