Friendly indeed -- addressing Metro cops by "hey hoser" usually leads to being invited to stay at their place for the night, particularly after they've had a chance to get to know you a little better by searching your vehicle and belongings

Mind you, such hospitality can be experienced in most cities, e.g. Detroit or Newark, where blacks are especially used to this type of constabulary friendliness
