First, I'm looking long range...and Second....I CAN NOT believe you think that the entire country wasn't affected by 9-11. Maybe in your world, but certainly not in mine.


What's long range about putting a tertiary issue at the front of your concerns? Terrorism is a very, very minor issue for Americans.

As far as being affected by 9/11, directly affected is the key work you left out. All Americans are indirectly affected by 9/11 due to the resultant wars and increased surveillance at airports, but the numbers directly affected were small once you get out of New York. There were many more Americans directly affected by Katrina than 9/11, so why aren't you all up in arms about future hurricane preparations? The number of affected Americans was larger.
