I think most people who get upset about the Cuba thing are simply people who are black and white thinkers (Cuba bad/America good). I don't think they necessarily have anything to do with fascism- and let's face it, we have plenty of black and white thinkers on the left as well.

I think ALL people tend to look at an argument, find the one thing they disagree with, or the one error (or perceived error), and say "Ok, I found this one thing, thus the whole argument is wrong". It seems to be human nature to do that- which means when we make arguments we care about, we need to make them very simple, and try, as in a chess game, to see the "holes" in our moves before we make them.
