They might wind up getting brought out. I know they are a small player in solar. But they have a profitable niche and have important partnerships with solar suppliers. I know most OTC:BB companies never go anywhere and have no real hope of going anywhere, but WWAT appears to be the exception to the rule.

Regardless, alternative energy is going to be very big over the next 20 years. The IEA just released a report yesterday that oil supplies are unlikely to keep up with demand over the next five years and the NY Times has a story today about new power plants increasing in costs rapidly as supplies such as metals needed to build the plants are growing more expensive every month. Solar and other alternatives will finally blossom in this energy environment and new solar and alternative energy innovations are being announced every week. There will be big winners in this field.

Anyone who doesn't like to pick winners should just pick an alternative energy mutual fund. I like an exchange traded fund with the symbol PBW. It is rather diversified, holding about 30 alternative energy oriented companies from solar and wind to biofuels, including raw material suppliers. It also appears to be a rather aggressive fund that changes positions frequently. Even though funds like this have more than doubled since inception, there is much more room on the upside when traditional energy gets too expensive. Electricity is quickly approaching the level where solar is making a lot of sense in a lot areas. We all know how gasoline has tripled over the past 7 years.
