Devil's Food Cake 1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. sifted cocoa 3/4 tsp. salt 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda Add: 2/3 c. butter or margarine 2/3 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla Beat for 2 minutes on low speed Add: 1/3 c. buttermilk 2 eggs Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes Bake in a greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done with toothpick. You can bake this cake in a 13X9 pan or you can make in two round cake pans. Icing: 1 stick butter or margarine 1 tsp vanilla 4 to 6 tbs. milk (depending on how stiff you want the icing) 3/4 to a whole bag of confectioners sugar
