Ted, many of my college buddies were pre-med, went to med school, and are either residents now or full-fledged doctors.

I was even pre-med during my undergrad years ... for about a semester. I then chose engineering and never regretted it.

But I'm still very interested in the medical issues of our time. I don't think I have the patience to read JAMA, but I do keep up with my college buddies on a regular basis.

What's your impression of doctors, by the way, if you don't think most of them are honest and professional?
