Which is exactly why central planning, even by the most benevolent, clever, intelligent, wise, people imaginable, doesn't work.

And of course in reality politicians are generally not "the most benevolent, clever, intelligent, wise, people imaginable", even in relatively free countries, and esp. not in the countries where central planning is rampant.
