did u find it interesting that US equities went ape$hit, but the Yen didn't do anything ? i did....and now my hand hurts a little <g> btw do u know of an easy way of checking implied volatilities on currencies...other than programming a spreadsheet myself i can't find a service that does it for a reasonable price. i think if we are ever going to be able to front run this carry trade the IV's are going to be a key piece of information! Bloomberg has mentioned IV's in articles a few times so i know that somebody must be publishing them.
